Catapult Learning Management System

Logging in

  1. Step 1: Type in your URL

  2. Step 2: Type in your Login and Password

    Your Login and Password should have been sent to you via email. If you have not received it, please contact your training organisation.

  3. Step 3: Once you have finished typing in your Login and Password, click “Submit

  4. Step 3: Once you have finished typing in your Login and Password, click “Submit

    If you have forgotten your password, click on “Forgot your password?”, enter your login and click “submit”. Your password will now be sent to you via email.

  5. Log in successful

    You will now be taken through to your eLearning account to begin work on your learning resources.

An overview of your resource

  1. The front page of every online resource contains information relating to the Structure, Purpose and Copyright of each resource

  2. Each resource is split into to key areas: Learning Support Materials, assessment tools, supporting documentation and information.

  3. Interactive content is contained in the Learning Support Material section of all full online resources.

    The first page of each Section/ part outlines the performance criteria to which the theory within this section/ part relates.

  4. You will find a range of engaging diagrams, images, interactive animations and text content throughout each resource

  5. For example, you will find diagrams that relate specifically to the theory of each unit

  6. You will find images that complement and relate to the theory of each unit

  7. There is a range of interactive animations you will find throughout the resource

  8. Here is another example of the type of interactivity you will find throughout your resources

  9. Each resource contains information on the assessment tools and how to use them.
    This can be found in the Assessment Information section or at the beginning of each Assessment Tool

  10. An assessment process outline and introduction to how the assessment tools relate to the resource is available as a PDF download or at the beginning of each assessment tool

  11. There are several types of assessment tools provided in each resource. Covering formative and summative assessments, and supervisor and third party observations.

  12. Formative assessments provide a range of questions and multiple-choice activities that relate to the performance criteria outlined in the corresponding learning support material section of the resource.

  13. Summative assessments provide a range of questions that address the elements in the unit of competence.

  14. Further summative assessments provide project/s that assess the unit of competence as a whole.

  15. Additional evidence can be collected and recorded by trainer/assessors and third parties to assist in determining competence.

Your eLearning Dashboard

  1. Once you have logged in you will arrive on the eLearning Dashboard of your account

  2. On the dashboard you will find a summary of the units you are actively enrolled in

  3. Alongside the unit code you will find the status of these units

  4. A “Submitted” unit means you have submitted this unit to your trainer for marking

  5. While in the Submitted status you cannot update any of your assessment activities

  6. However you can carry on reviewing the theory by clicking on the unit code

  7. ...or view assessment activities by clicking on “View

  8. Marked” means your trainer has marked this unit and returned it with comments

  9. To view your trainers comments and continue working on this unit, click on “Comments

  10. In Progress” means you have either saved worked or have yet to start this unit

  11. To begin or continue work in this unit click on the unit code

Completing activities and assessments

  1. Step 1: To begin working on your assessment activities click on the assessment task you wish to begin with

  2. Step 2: Review the questions provided

    Add your answers by simply typing them into the text box provided.

  3. Step 3: Once you are happy with your answer, ensure that you save your work.

    Click "Save" at the bottom of every page before leaving the window to ensure your work is not lost

  4. Step 4: To begin (or continue) working on assessment tasks, click on the next section of the assessment tools

  5. Activities and questions may be in the same format for formative and summative assessments.

    Simply review the questions, type in your answer in the text box provided and click “Save”.

  6. Projects may require you to upload a document

Uploading files

  1. Step 1: Review the Question or Activity that requires you to upload a file

  2. Step 2: Create the file required and save it to your computer or external device (ie. USB, CD/DVD)

  3. Step 3: Return to the Activity or Question that requires you to upload the file

  4. Step 4: Upload the file

    Click “Choose File” (or similar).

  5. Step 4: Select the file

    Locate the document you wish to upload and click “Choose” (or similar).

  6. Step 5: Review the file

    Review the file you have selected to ensure it is the correct document.

  7. Step 6: Save the file

    Once you are satisfied with the document, click “Save” to complete the upload.

Submitting work for marking

  1. Step 1: Click “Dashboard

  2. Step 2: Select the unit you wish to submit and click “Submit

  3. Step 3: If you wish to confirm your submission, select “Yes I agree” to the declaration box.

  4. Step 3: If you wish to confirm your submission, click “Confirm”.

  5. Once you have confirmed your submission, your work will be sent to your trainer for marking

    Upon submitting, the status of this unit will change to “Submitted”.

View your Trainer's marking

  1. Step 1: Click “Dashboard

  2. Step 2: Under the list of “Active Enrolments”, select the unit you wish to review by clicking “Comments

  3. This will take you through to a summary of all the activities and the answers you have submitted (in red)

  4. Step 3: Review your trainer’s comments here

  5. Step 4: To continue working on your activities click “Continue working on this unit

    This will take you back to your saved work. You can now continue working on your activities and assessments as set out in Chapter 4: Completing activities and assessments.

Messaging your trainer

  1. To send, view and receive messages, click “Messages

  2. Your “Message Inbox” will display all your read and unread messages

  3. To create and send a message, click “New Message

  4. Step 1: To send a message to individual users, search for your recipient via first name or last name

  5. Once found, click on the recipient you wish to send the message to

  6. To add another recipient repeat this step

  7. Step 2: To send a message to “All My Trainers” and/or your “Training Organisation”, simply check the box that applies

  8. Step 3: Type in the title of your message in the “Subject” field

  9. Step 4: Type the details of your message in the “Message” field

  10. If you wish to cancel at anytime, simply click “Cancel

  11. Step 5: Once complete, click “Send

Edit details

  1. Click “Edit Details

  2. In the text box that applies, type in your updated details

  3. To change your password, scroll to the bottom of the page and enter your new password in both the “Password” and “Confirm Password” fields

  4. Once complete, click “Submit

    If your password has changed, the next time you login, remember to use your new password.
